The 4-minute difference began in 1891

On April 19, 1891, a passenger train and a freight train collided at east of Kipton Station in Ohio, USA, killing eight people. The accident was caused by a four-minute pause in one of the train drivers' watches.  The consequences of just four minutes were so great that they killed many people! Was it an accident? Was it human error? Was it the fault of time? Or was it the watch's fault?

As the impact of time on human life continues to increase, the accident of 1891 has also made it possible for watchmakers to make a watch that is unmistakable. ​
